| Can a Yorkie Be Happy Being The Pet? I have a 4 yr. old male Yorkie who we suddenly lost his companion almost 2 weeks ago. Since then I take him everywhere I can, but during the week he is left at home about 6 hours a day. I am not sure I want to get another dog right now and if I did I want another female yorkie (fix or not - my male is fixed) 1 yr to about 4 yrs old. Does anyone just have one dog? My lil' guy seems so lonely since our lil' girl passed away. Can a dog be happy alone? Thanks

| I'm so sorry for your loss. I have only one dog. I have always had only one dog at a time. Abby seems to be just fine as were my other ones. I got Abby when she was 3 months old and was worried she would be lonely and miss her sisters but she adapted just fine. I hope in time your little guy will be fine. I'll keep him in my prayers. |

| I adopted Molly when she was 2 years old and she had previously lived with another dog. She was happy on her own right from the start, and isnt very good at sharing me , so yes, i do think they can adapt and be happy. |

♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | Im sorry to hear your news .I am in a similiar situation as my furbaby lost her big sis (border collie ) 4 wks ago and I sometimes think that my baby is lonely although she gets lots of interaction with other dogs.Like you, I dont feel ready for another and if I got one it would be for her and not me and that wouldnt be fair.
