| Sleeping in? How do you get your babies to go back to sleep when they try and wake you up too early? Mya went through like a 2 week phase of sleeping SO late, all i had to say was "uh uh go lay down and go back to sleep" and she would. Now it's 7am on the dot! no matter what!

| You get to sleep til 7? It must be nice! LOL! Boomer is good for 8 hours in his kennel...if we go to bed at 9:30 he's up at 5:30...we go to bed at 10 and he's up at 6. He's on a mission though...as soon as I open the kennel door he heads to the potty pad...poor little guy can't even wait for me to get the screen door open! But, I think getting a full 8 hours sleep with a 5 month old puppy is pretty good so I'm not complaining! Have you tried laying her down with you after she wakes up? |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | ignore, ignore, ignore. i know its hard but it does work. mine sleeps until i get up no matter what time that may be. i have her in bed with me something 12 hours on weekends of if i'm sick. she's 3 years old now. when she was a baby she was crated. she would wake up anywhere from 5-7 to potty. i would turn on a night light, nothing to bright. take her out to potty, then bring her right back in and put her back in teh crate. no talking besides the go potty command. no excitement besides a good girl. no lights, no nothing to wake her up more then she needs to be to go potty. once back in the crate i would turn the lights back off and go back to sleep. if she would whine i'd tell her that's enough, go to sleep and then ignore her.

| Mine sleep until I wake up. I noticed it helps a lot to use the black-out shade so the room is kept very dark. No eye contact and if I roll over and they think it's wake up time, I shake the can of coins on my night table. I hope that doesn't sound mean, but I raised three kids, and now I need to sleep in when I don't have to get up for work.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have the same problem, when my pom was alive she got me up every few hours due to her medical conditions, now that she has gone to the Rainbow Bridge 2 months ago. I cannot get Pixie to not wake up at 3 am for their feeding. I try and ignore but she keeps it up until I give in. Once they are fed they all go back to sleep. Kellie can I send mmy 3 to you for training too!!!lol

edit: Do they all sleep in your room at night? is there a way to keep them out of the room in crates so its easier to ignore when they wake up at 3am? at least for a while until they 'get it'

| I'm lucky I don't have the problem. Fancy does not move until I move.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Lexi's the one that sleeps in! when the alarm goes off and we get out of bed she looks up like nooooooooo one more minuteee mom... but sometimes i can get her up by laying back down on my back and telling her "good morning LuLuuuu" in a sweet voice and shell drag herself with her front legs all the way up my body to lay on my chest and give kisses.

| Ya'll are all lucky!! Addie gets up at 5:30AM! I was lucky last weekend, though, she slept till 7!! Some nights, like last night, she'll wake up around 3/3:30 and she goes straight to her daddy and attacks him! On nights like this I have to get up and bring her in her room because she thinks it's time to play. And it doesn't matter what time she goes to bed...
