| Sleeeep DEPRIVED!! haha I have no problems with getting up to let toby out during the night... and i'm sure i will have to for quite a while until he can hold it longer. so i'm just wondering, how long did it take after bringing your babies home before they stopped crying/whining/barking at night after you took them potty and put them back to bed??? if he would just go right back to sleep I'd be THRILLED |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | We had him in a separate room, and he cried the entire night, so we ..(DH , the one that did not want small dogs) decided to put him in our room(he did not want animals in or room either) and leave the create open, it took about a week when he started sleeping through the night, of course, taking out as late as possible, and taking out again very early in the morning,For #2 he would poop at any time, the thing that did it, was taking him for a walk, not just out door, but for a short walk on the block, so now he'll poop around 10 am and them around 7 or 8 pm.

| I know exactly how you feel. Baxter still wakes up about 4 nights a week at 3 am to go out. We go out and come in and he usually settles right back down. He is now 16 months old. But for a while - we'd get up several times a night and still not go back to sleep. I guess it started getting better at about 11 months. How old is Toby? I hope it gets better for you soon. Hang in there. BTW - Baxter sleeps with us too. The few times he won't settle down now, I just tell him very sternly that he better get back in that bed and go to sleep. He jumps up on the bed and gets next to my husband like I'm evil but it works. |

| the crate is in our room on the floor...facing so he can see the bed but the sides are covered with a blanket so he cant see the other dog... its dark except a night light and i put him right back in, no talking, no nothing, after he comes in from outside. i am taking him out anywhere between every 1.5-3 hours... and the thing is he goes pee, so i think he needs to?... so should i ignore him when he wakes up and cries to try to stretch out the time between potty? or keep taking him out? he is only 9 weeks... and like i said, i dont care at all about taking him outside to potty.... i'm just wondering when the crying/whining/barking is going to stop... |

| It took Jackson a good month, probably. But he wasn't too bad. His schedule was like... being put in the crate around 9 or 10pm, and sleeping until around 4:30 or 5am to be let out, and then back to bed from 5am until 9am. It was about a month before he started sleeping on my bed (lol) and through the night!!

| i know how you feel Cleo was like that for awhile. When i first got her, i would be up about 2 or 3 times between 10 pm and 6am. She is 4 1/2 months now and she usually gets up between 3:30 and 4:30 to potty and then she goes again when i get up at 6. i am thinking about making her strech it out till 6, but i don't know how to tell that she is "ready" for that...

| Gosh I must have been sooo lucky. The only time that Poppy actually cried at night is the first night we had her so I spent the night on the floor with a sleeping bag just cuddling her. After that she had a bed next to mine and when I went to bed I just said "come on bedtime" and she trotted off to her basket and slept through the night.

| way to rub it in! haha just kidding, lucky you! i guess i have been lucky in the potty department.... so i can't complain!! it always seems worse at night... hopefully if i keep doing what i'm doing he will get better. i'd love for him to sleep with me, but i'm so scared of suffocating him/him falling off the bed.... |
