| Just found your site! Yippee We live in Arizona and are the proud owners of two yorkies. Rue is 6 yrs and our latest one, Dolce, is 9 months. We lost our Buddy 1-1/2 yrs ago - he was our precious first yorkie, and he developed the collapsed trachea so common to the breed. We saved and had the $4,000 surgery....and he only lasted a few months after that with complications, pneumonia, etc....we miss him so much. It took our hearts the 1-1/2 yrs to heal enough to get another baby...hence Dolce joined our family 2 months ago....she was caught up in a divorce of a 19 yr old girl and a 20 yr old boy......after her first vet visit now we hear she has the luxating patella....at level 4, whatever that means..... So anxious to check our your postings and get to know about your babies, too..... |

| To YorkieTalk If you haven't noticed yet, this place is very addicting You're going to love it. I'm very sorry to hear about Buddy. Losing a family member is never easy, but Buddy will be waiting for you at the rainbow bridge when it's your time to see him again. Congratulations on being so brave and trying again. I know it's what he would want for all of you and for your new pup. I'm sorry to hear he has PL, but atleast that's not life threatening. Glad you found the forum and look forward to chatting more. Welcome, Welcome!!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Welcome and sorry for the loss of Buddy. I am glad Dolce found a great home with you. One of my 3 has grade 4 LP in both legs. She stands funny but shows no signs of pain or impairment in walking and getting up and down. We do limit all of their jumping by using stairs and ramps. Our vet said to just watch her and see how she does. We prefer not to do surgery unless we have to since she has other health issues that make it riskier. A lot of people on here have had very successful surgery on their babies with LP and will be able to give you some great advice.
