| Does White Yorkie equal Biewer or Parti? I've read many threads on YT about Biewers & some heated threads on Parti pups too - but I don't claim to know everything about these dogs & the genetics -- but today I ran across a website talking about White Yorkies - is that some new term? Or do you think that's something this person is trying to coin? Here's the website - looks new in the last mth or so - but it doesn't give any indication who is running this website & they talk about Biewer & Parti - I just hate to see more confusion about these dogs. | It seems like the owner of that website thinks that biewers and partis are the same thing, and interchangeable.. the tags on their biewer pictures say "parti". I'm pretty sure they're biewers though. |

| Oh, and I've never heard of White Yorkie, LOL I'm thinking maybe that website owner is just calling them White Yorkies to make more bucks and make people think they're getting something rare and unusual. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Whoever runs that website claims it's for educational purposes....unfortunately a lot of what they've written is incorrect. They don't own a parti or a biewer....nor do the pictures belong to them. White Yorkie*|* About

| At first I thought the "white yorkie" was just a website name to make his/her site different. Then I looked at everything everyone pointed out and now I've changed my opinion, that person is confused about what they are talking about. A biewer is a biewer, there is a standard as to what they're suppose to look like, where as a parti is a cute yorkie with a gene that makes it have a white coat and random markings. Did I learn well from my yorkie friends or what!! I think someone needs to go educate the author of the educational blog.

| I hope that's not the case, but the way things are I wouldn't be surprised.

| The Biewer as we know it here in the states has a STANDARD that dedicated breeders are working with. It becomes frustrating for a Biewer breeder when suddenly the tri-colored yorkie, gold dust biewer, boro and now the "white" biewer or yorkie comes on the scene. Although Biewers have produced many whites in their offspring, they still threw the colors that they are noted for within their standard. Again, it is still a new breed that is being very carefully bred to maintain the standard that was initially set by Werner Biewer. |
