| Twinkle had fishing line wrapped around her paw! I took Twinkle for her walk this morning.....Lucia in her stroller, Twink's lead on one handle so she's walking beside us, and Mia walking on the other side. We'd just started up a track that leads to some fields when Twinkle suddenly let out a yelp. I looked down and noticed her back leg was off the ground. I couldn't work out what had happened at first, then noticed what I thought was string wrapped tightly around her paw. On further inspection I realised it was fishing line.....one end had caught round the wheel of the stroller, and as the wheel turned it had pulled so tight that she couldnt put her foot down I cut my hands trying to break it, and Twinkle was yelping so much.....she was so frantic that she bit me. I couldn't pick her up because she was tied so tightly to the wheel.....I had to sort of lift her bum with one hand and bat the stroller along with the other hand while crawling along. Luckily, we weren't far up the track so as soon as I was near the road I waved down the first car I saw. By this time I'm in tears, because Twinkle is yelping so much, Mia was crying because I was, and then Lucia joined in! The woman managed to burn the line with a cigarette lighter and Twinkle was free!!!! Thankfully the wire hadn't broken the skin so I just unwound it from her leg - I couldn't believe how much of it there was! There is a lake nearby so it was obviously just discarded by a fisherman....which is very irresponsible IMO because the area is a favourite for dog-walkers, not to mention children playing. And there is NO WAY I would have seen it, because its so fine - Twinkle was VERY fortunate not to have been badly injured - I've heard before of a lab who got a fishing hook in his paw whilst being walked in the same area! By a lovely coincidence, the wonderful lady who came to our rescue has two yorkies of her own! I'm so grateful to her for her help xxx xxx

| Thank goodness you saw it when you did and the puppy didn't get cut. THANK YOU THANK YOU Dear Lady for stopping to help. I am sure that was a scary situation for all of yall. Maybe you should carry alittle pair of scissors or clippers in your pocket if you go up there alot. They have some in the sewing section that are real small and they actually fold up with the scissor part in the handles, so your little ones couldn't get hurt. CARELESS Fishermen, they have NO IDEA what could have happened. So glad everything turned out good.. God Bless,Sharon, PIXI & SPIKE |

| Omg Claire! My eyes filled with tears reading that, I can imagine how panicked you were especially with the girls as well. I'm glad you found someone to help you though and that Twinkle isn't cut. She is walking fine? How are your hands?

| I'm annoyed that a fisherman just threw all that line on the ground. Poor Twinkle, and YOU! I'm so glad that lady helped you out and everyone is OK in the end.

| Oh Vicky, panicked is the perfect word for it! I was sooo lucky that I hadn't got further down the track....it was difficult enough to manouver them all as far as I did! Thankfully, Twinkle is walking fine and doesn't have any marks on her leg. My hands are a bit sore, but I put some antiseptic stuff on them (stung like !%&*!) and they're not too bad now. xxx xx
