| Well....du"uh Last night I was BBQing and had Ziggy out on the deck. He was having a great time digging through that last patch of snow. When we went inside, my daughter said, "Mom look at his eye, there's something wrong with it." Sure enough it was cloudy and it looked like it had a wrinkled contact lens on it. So I said to my husband, "Do I try to get it out?" He said absolutely not because it looks like it was attached to the eye. I was freaking thinking it was a detached retina or a scratch on the eye. We get to the vet's office and have to wait because she is in with another patient. After 40 minutes it is our turn. She manipulates his eyelids up and down and sideways, pulls out a long Q-tip, swipes at the stuff and says "yep, eye gunk. Now get out of here (teasingly) before I decide to charge you." OMG, do I have the best vet in the world. I am mortified. I run a school with over 70 preschoolers with no problem at all, yet this little guy makes me act like a new mom all over again.
