| Yorkie or rip off? Hello everyone! I am new to yorkietalk. I purchased my pup from a ladie who couldn't care for him anymore. He is 11 mos old and weighs about 5 lbs. I was only wondering if he is a full blooded Yorkie. She gave me papers and a pedigree certificate, but how do I know that really belongs to him? My only concern is his ears won't stand. He is almost a year old and his ears don't stand up. Everywhere I read it says one of the characteristics of a yorkie are his ears. How can I tell if my baby is real or a fake? Help! |

| Sorry I am kind of new to this. I cannot upload his pic. It says my file is too big. I have a pic under my profile already, any suggestions? |

| He looks like a yorkie to me. Lots of Yorkies have the floppy ears. As to whether you got ripped off, did you get him to be a pet? If you love him, that's what counts!

| He looks like a yorkie to me! A lot of yorkies ears do not ever go up. As long as you love him, I do not think you got ripped off!!

| Thanks guys I feel much better. I did get him as a pet and I fell in love with him the day I got him! So in reality I guess it woulnd't make a difference now whether he is a full Yorkie or not, since I'd keep him anyway :-) |

| Welcome to YT He is gorgeous.I love his adorable face and his luscious coat. He looks all yorkie to me also. The ears do not determine if he is purebred. It is a part of the standard for a yorkie if you are showing, but for a pet totally acceptable.
