| I have heard of this before. I believe there is some type of pill you can give them that makes their poop taste gross (like it wouldn't already???).

| According to others on this board - feeding pineapple will stop that? I've also read on this board that eating poop is due to lack of potassium? Bailey used to do that when I fed her commercial dog food. Then I switched to a homemade raw diet with supplements - including potassium - and she does not eat her poop - ever. So there might be some truth to that potassium thing?

| I really enjoy watching It's Me Or The Dog. Last Sunday, I watch the TV show and the trainer gave an explanation why some dogs eat their poop. The trainer said if the dog eats a high protein diet then sometimes the dog might eat his poop. They can smell the protein in the food and think lunchtime. |

Jackson definitely will eat his poop outside (I've caught him! ) and his food is semi-high in protein. Merrick's Before Grain, I believe, is 32% protein.

| Bella still eats her poop and it is disgusting, many at time I pick her up and she comes in to lick my face and I get the whiff! I have tried the pineapple and it does not work, can someone tell me the name of tablet that we can give them to make their poop taste bad? I spoke to the vet about it and he said that its not really a bad thing, they smell that there is still nourishment in the poop that has not been digested and that is why they eat it! I dont like it tho! Our neighbours cat uses our garden as a toilet (bless him) hahaha, Bella digs his poop up and eats it too... soooooooooo gross!

| Thanks a lot! I hope it is here in South Africa too. I wonder if I should sprinkle it in the garden beds coz she goes after the neighbour's cat's poop
