| A few questions about dandruff and house training Ok so bailey is 3 months now and i have been having alot of health issues with her but dont worry it is all under control with the vet and everything. but with her health issue it gives her diarrhea so when we first got her it was just easier to start training her on a pee pad because she cannot control her stool and trying to run up a big set of stairs to go outside did not work to well. so now at night time when she wakes up i am trying to go outside so there is less mess in the house but she is abselutaly scared to go outside thinking she is not aloud and she will get punished ? I don't understand how to deal with this situation. winter is just ending here in alberta canada so there is still some snow on the ground but not enough to scare her?? (plus she plays outside alot so she never seemed to mind it) any advice on how i could slowly try to train her to go outside to potty?? and another thing i use baby shampoo for bathing her and i never had problems until last week i started to see dandruff. any good shampoo on how to get rid of dandruff. Iwill apreciate any feedbacks thanks

| Outside training I have a 17 year old yorkie and a 5 month yorkie. The older dog barks to go out but with Zipper I am trained. Every 2-3 hours I take him outside. Both dogs go and do their business but Zipper has never asked to go out. Like you the snow has just gone and we spend more time out of doors so Zipper does his business out there. I am down to just one accident a day every so often and it is a late night poop where he will go out to pea but doesn't poop and runs inside to do it. Thank God they are little ones and it is only hapeneing every so often. Zipper used to take hold of a pea paD AND RUN WITH IT SHREDDING it to pieces. |

| First of all stop the baby shampoo ... I'm assuming you mean baby shampoo and not puppy shampoo Dogs skin is very sensitive and even a baby human shampoo is going to be too harsh for them Use a puppy shampoo instead ... and watch the frequency you're bathing your dog if it's like once a week it might be too much The potty training if he has diarrhea from time to time you'll have to paper train or pad train him for emergencies but you can still take him out for his regular walks even though

| it's just a frequency thing Keep bringing her outside .... and eventually she will want to poop and pee out there esp if she smells other dogs having gone there before

| Try bringing the pee pad outdoors with you. Hopefully she'll use it outside and will eventually start to associate going 'outside' with going potty. Also, have some treats with you outside so that as soon as she goes on the pad you can reward her.
