Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | Honest Opinion Ok, first, admin if I posted in wrong place, I apologize in advance. Ok some of you know my hubby draws. I decided ok lets sell some of his drawings that will give him a little cash for his art stuff. Well recently someone (it doesnt matter who......) asked him to draw their dog. What we decided was... $30 for the drawing $5 shipping or up to $45 for drawing in a matted frame (could be less depending on cost for frame & matting, in this case, I got the frame onsale for $6.50) plus $8 to $10 shipping. We said it takes a couple of weeks, then we will send a picture of the drawing, if you like it then we will make the arrangements for payment and shipping. Well hubby worked on this pic, we sent it and the party asked, well is he going to paint it? Cant it take up the whole page? I answered, this is a drawing, a sketch. Its penciled. Well they didnt bother to even say they were not interested they just didnt answer back. So hubby figured ok, they dont want it, he would play with the colored pencils just for practice. My question is: What do you all think? Are we asking too much? He puts in alot of hours on these drawings, I love em but I probably am not real objective. Anyway Im posting the first drawing, then his experiment with colored pencils. Let me know your opinions please both about the drawings and the prices. Thanks you guys, I appreciate your input |

| I think it looks spectacular, both in the original pencil and then colored. I also don't think the pricing is out of line. Perhaps be more specific with how big the figure will be on what size paper overall along with the fact it is a pencil drawing, not a painting.

| Thats very good!! My uncle is really good in art as well, but not so good with dogs! He drew peanut one time and peanut looked like a wolf! So i know dogs are hard to draw! He is very talented

Thor's Human Donating Member | I like it. I don't have any basis for the pricing, but $45 for a framed, matted picture seems very reasonable to me. It's very hard to make a profit being any kind of artist, but I'm sure you guys already know that.

| It is a great drawing, black and white and colored. I don't think that the price is out of line. My sister is an artist and she spends a lot of time on one picture. She does a lot of pen and ink. Your hubby is very talented.

| I think the price is very good! You have to take in to consideration that this is ART, not just a photo that has been enhanced. Your husband is very talented

| Very nice, your husband if very talented. As one person suggested be very specific on the size of the drawings. Personally I think the price is a bargin for anyone wanting a personalized drawing. I am thinking next year for Christmas cards I should contact your husband for a drawing of my pets.

| Your Hubby is very talented. I think those prices are a steal! If I can get a good picture of Daisy Mae being "still" long enough, I would love for him to do one for me. Good job Linda's Hubby! ~Kathy
