new yorkie Hi, I have a female yorkie and just rescued a male yorkie. They get along great. However, the new male is terrified of my husband. He must have been abused by a male. Is there anything I can do to help him trust my husband?

Thats the way my rescue Scottie was with my husband. Very scared. He started walking Bailey and taking him on rides. Just one on one. Slowly this will get better. We have had Bailey for a couple of years and every now and then he will run and hide. Take baby steps...It will work...Good Luck to Ya...

Hope it works Congrats on your new boy. Maybe I can help you. It will take time & patience. Have your hubby sit on the couch, with some treats your little boy likes. You sit down next to him with your little boy in your lap. Talk to him very softly. Have your hubby give him some treats. Eventually you can start to sit down with him on your lap & have him give more treats & slowly put him in his lap for a few minutes. Hope it works, but don't force him, just a few minutes each time. Let me know how it works, it worked for me.
