| How old is he? You should wait at least until he is six months old, if not longer since he is little. |

| When peanut got his first rabies shot he was very small as well..I think about 2.5-3 ish dont worry he will be fine. Peanut was really out of it after his shot and very sore. He just layed around and didnt even want to be touched! All dogs are different so you never know how they will react. After his shot I would just let him go home and rest. That way you can keep an eye on him if he has a reaction to the vaccine. Dont worry it will all be ok!!

| My Fisher was 2.5lbs when he got his last round of shots and did great! Never missed a beat. I think all dogs are different but maybe this helps you feel a little better

| I would not give the rabies shot and last set of shots at the same time. I would search on here, their are people thats pups had bad reactions to to many shots at one time. I do not allow my Peanut to have more than one shot at a time. Good luck |

| Baxter got his rabies at four months. But that's the law here in NC. He was probably around four or five pounds. Afterwards, he still played and acted normal!

| If my vet was willing to hold off on a rabies shot, there is no way I'd do it... Your pup will likely be fine because a lot of small pups get them but the shot is very potent and it isn't extremely safe. I say go with the original vets advice. If you are in a state where medical waivers are an acceptable replacement for rabies shots, then maybe your vet can write you one to take to the groomer. A lot of states require it at 4 months but some vets will let you wait. I would personally avoid vaccinating this early if at all possible. The rabies shot should never be given on the same day as any other shot.

| My vet won't give rabies until they are at least 6months old.
