| Sad story...Lady lost her yorkie at the groomer My husband talked to his mother today who lives in Wilmington, NC. My husbands neice who also lives there is a hair dresser and this lady came in for a hair appointment today and told that she had taken her yorkie to her groomers and the yorkie was attacked by a big dog....it was a service dog for a nearly blind person. Anyway, it attacked the yorkie by the neck and killed it. I don't know this lady personally but my heart goes out to her. I can only imagine what kind of horror she experienced when she went to the groomers to pick up her baby My husbands mother had called to tell us about it today and to see if we had any puppies left for sale and we do not. She said the lady was devestated, crying and desparately (sp?) looking for another yorkie. If anyone knows someone in the Wilmington area that has yorkies or is a nice breeder please let me know. I have the ladies phone number and am going to call her tomorrow and help her if I can. I looked on petfinder a minute ago but wasn't able to pull up just the Wilmington area and it pulled up almost 300 results and I'm getting ready to go to bed. Just thought I would see if someone might know of a breeder in that area. Since I haven't spoken with her yet I don't know how far she's willing to drive or how much dollars she's wanting to spend, etc...Just know she is really upset and wants another yorkie. I think the story made the newspaper. Thanks all in advance! If I don't reply tonight it's cause I went to bed.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | i don't know of any breeders, bt my heart goes out to that poor woman and her baby. that seems very unlike something a service dog would do! i hope she finds another baby, and is feeling better soon. what nice people you and your mom are to care so much!

| I just cant imagine the shock and grief that poor lady is going through,Ive made a concious decision not to take prudence to a groomer I just didnt feel comfortable about just dropping her off and leaving her so I take her to a ladies house who breeds and shows yorkies and she grooms her while i wait. dianne and prudence |

| That is a sad story. I lost a dog. a toy poodle, to a boxer when I was younger and I witnessed it. I will never be the same. I know a new yorkie will never take the place of the one she lost but I hope it helps with her pain. |

| Aren't the dogs all separated? Do they keep the dogs all together?

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | That POOR Yorkie and poor woman ...and what a VERY irresponsible Groomer ! I would lose my mind....When we trust our pets to someone elses care...EXTRA caution should always be used - I just can't see how that could happen and I'd hate to think of what I would do face to face with that 'groomer'....that should NOT have happened to that poor yorkie. |

| that is just awful! may heart goes out to that lady! i am from the wilmington nc area but would not recommend the breeder i got my dog from....i was not happy with her. my baby had a liver shunt and this so called "yorkie breeder for 15 years" had never heard of that and refused to give me any of my money back to help pay for his medical costs. plus, now that i know more about what puppy mills are, i really feel like that is what she is running there. anyway, i am curious to know who this lady used as her groomer because i want to be sure not to take my baby there! brooke & "max" |

| I am so very sorry for what this poor woman is going through. Here is the site for the breeder that I got my little Zeus from, but not sure if she has any pups available. Good luck. http://www.81x.com/Yorkshires/ForSale
