| Walking On The Back of the Couch!!! Apple will be 5 months old tomorrow, and I came around the corner to see her walking on the back of the couch....She's never been able to jump on the couch, before today, and it freaked me out! I put her down and she hasn't been back up top, yet...She did jump back on the couch, and down, but I'm wondering if ya'll let your yorkies do this, or stop them? Do they have enough sense not to jump off the top, as it's way too far down from that height? Thanks, Maggie & Apple xoxoxo |

| Both of mine walk on the back of the couch & loveseat & sleep ontop of it like a cat! Or when they're walking I call them little billy goats! They jump down onto the couch seats & then onto the floor. But they are both 2 yrs old. MOMMY TO PRECIOUS & PRINCESS |

| No, I don't. My Jemma is a little over 4 months. She loves to lay on my lap. She will jump off the chair but she can't jump on. I'm just too afraid that she'll jump off from a high spot. I would then freak!!! |

| Twinkle does this - she thinks she's a cat I freaked out when she did it as a puppy and I would lift her down and say 'No'.......she does it occasionally now though, luckily our sofa is quite low and she's quite big xxx

| Mine have walked and slept on the back of the couch since they could get up there. It's like they think they are cats.

| Lucy and Rebel love the back of the sofa. They've both gotten up there as soon as they were able to. Neither jump from the back to the floor, it's always to the seat of the sofa, then to the floor. They can look out the window from there and use that position to "guard" the house and bark at squirrels.

| I can remember when we first got Lucky I did'nt think he would ever be able to jump on the couch or bed. lol. Then around 5 months old here he came. He struggled but he made it. Then to the back of the couch. I swear they are part cats. I am waiting for him to start meowing. lol....

| Our dog Teddy has been doing this since he was able to jump up there! He has NEVER jumped from the top, the worst he has done is jumped to the arm rest then off. But he usually jumps on the seat then the floor. Our puppy Pippo is starting to do this too. He jumps on a pillow or the arm rest then to the top. It makes me nervous when they are both up there, but he seems too afraid to jump. I think they like being up high, I wouldn't worry too much, as long as you don't mind!!

| Barley does get on the back of our couch. He has done it from the time we got him (as an adult). At first it seemed to be his comfort spot, now he does it to look out the windows. When he sees something out there, he will jump off the couch and run from the den into the office. There he will jump up onto the desk to get a better look out those windows too. Barley is a larger Yorkie at 8lbs though. IF he was a little one, I wouldn't let him do all this jumping. My toy poodle is tiny and she blew out her knee jumping off my daughter's bed.

| Make sure she is big enough to do this safely. I did not allow Suzi on the bed until she was able to jump on it and get down all by herself. Then she could go on and off. Same as other pieces of furniture. Suzi is around 7-8 lbs now and full grown.
