YT 1000 Club Member | Roxie has this. She has a very horse sounding voice. I always thought it was from when she was a puppy she had a very bad respitory infection and coughed for months. I figured it scarred her vocals. I even had the vet check her out good to make sure she hadn't been debarked. The vet said she hadn't been and all looked norman except that when she was spayed they had to use the smallest breathing tube they had on her because her traich was so tiny. I think it was one used for baby kittens or something. Has Shelby had any illness at all? Roxie just turned 2 and has never had much of a bark. I got her when she was 10 weeks old. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | That happened to my pom at about that age. She has Cushings and a collpased trachea so I am not sure which caused it. Leter it developed into her bark was like half a bark, hard to explain. I hope the vet can determine what is causing it and that is is something minor.

YT 1000 Club Member | I thought with Roxie it was a collapsed trachea but the vet didn't see anything to indicate it on the x-rays and said it's just very tiny. I've noticed it does seem to be sensitive because she coughs everytime she gets a drink and sometimes when she stretches her neck too far it causes a cough then too. |
