| Constant Licker My boy Bruschi is a constant licker...he doesn't just lick for a few seconds, he goes to town on everything he starts licking, wood floors, rugs, sandals, himself. Any suggestions or reason why he's doing this?

| Dont know how old your furbaby is, but Ryle just turned a year old and up until he was about 9 months old he used to lick us so bad, finally he stopped doing it. Maybe yours will grow out of it too. |

| Lola licks like crazy!! She's done it ever since she was a puppy. I must admit I never told her not to lick when she was a puppy so I take full responsibility for her licking issues now. These days if she starts licking us we say "Quit licking." She's getting better. I've created a monster!!!

Yorkie Yakker | Licky loo We have a couple of lickers They are boys I always figured they were trying to show doggy type affection. They all try to lick me when I get out of the shower They like the soap on me. Now if I had one that licked everything I might think it is nervous energy Might need more distraction and excersize. I do know if a Yorkie is bored they can display some bizarre behavior. |

| Tucker licks faces, necks, , and toes; chews on objects, but doesn't lick. I think of the licks as kisses. In fact, if I hold him up, and he doesn't lick my face, I say "kiss, kiss", and he starts licking. I warn visitors that he is a licker, and not to pick him up if they don't like "dog kisses". Most don't care. I also have to warn them if they are wearing shoes that tie. He will untie the laces. Am I wrong to encourage the "kisses"? He's my first Yorkie, and I admit, licks faces more than any other dog I've ever had. Tucker's Mom |

| If you're ok with it ... there might be no problem But if not or if he does this to the point of missing a good portion of his day or it's getting worse it might be an obessive behavior and most obessive behaviors in healthy well-kept dogs are due to boredom you might be a great care taker but some dogs esp active little guys like Yorkies need more attention when it comes to mental stimulation try walking him more take him to a doggy park twice or three times a week or to a doggy daycare see where that gets you

| Wilbur's Licking? My Wilbur licks everything. It is starting to concern me. He will lick the bedsheets, the blanket, the pillows, my legs and arms and feet, his dad's legs, and arms and feet, then he will lick the sheets again - and this is just as we are starting to go to bed. Then this morning he started licking the dog crate, the couch, the floor, the table.... he just licks and licks and licks. Wilbur is almost 1 year old. He has tons of toys and a 6 month old sister to play with. He has options. What is up with the licking? Any ideas?

| Sometimes my girls can't hold their "licker" too It can get annoying, but when I say stop, they do. I think it's a self-soothing technique, after all they can't suck their thumb, they don't have any

| Add Thor to the licker club too! He will sit in our laps and lick our hands, then arms, and then lay down and go to sleep. He does it REALLY bad at the vets office I think its cuz he gets nervous!
