| Puddin' the Pudge Well, she'll be 13 weeks tomorrow and we just got back from being weighed at the vet...1.8 kg or 3.9 lbs. She doesn't seem fat and she's a very active dog, but 4 pounds at 13 weeks!! That seems so huge! She has already outgrown those jammies I made her, so I cut them in half and added an insert (with a tuck that can be let out if she grows out of them again!) and just finished modifying some onesies to fit her better around the neck and shoulders. It is now autumn and winter is on its way...our area is not called the "Cape of Storms" for nothing. We don't get snow, of course, but it does get crispy cold here and without heat in our houses (yup...no radiators, baseboard panels, forced air or oil furnaces!) it gets pretty chilly at night, especially in all those ceramic tiled rooms. I have laid in a stock of flannel and fleece (thank you eBay!) and now have to get busy on a winter wardrobe for my pudgy princess. The other dogs all have fleece jerseys from previous winters, but I may include them in my upcoming sewing marathon. Does anyone else have a yorkie that weighed 4 lbs at 13 weeks? If the "rule of thumb" is correct, she's going to go over 10 lbs!!

| If I remember rightly, Twinkle was about 3lb by 12 weeks - she's 8 months old now and weighs 8lb, she has done for the last two months so It doesn't look like she'll get any bigger. She's quite long in the body, but she's not chunky at all - quite petite in fact.....she weighs more than my friend's Shihtzu but is much smaller (if that makes sense) By the way, I think your little Puddin is absolutely scrummy! xxx xxx

| She'll likely be 8 lbs or so hey? I think that's a nice size. Especially when you have other larger dogs in the home. She'll be nice and sturdy. She's adorable and that's what matters the most.

YT 1000 Club Member | Roxie is 2 yrs. old and she's 5 lbs. At least last time I weighed her. I think it would be cool to have a Yorkie that's 8 lbs. or more too. I agree with it being all that much more to love!! I love em all! |

| The problem with Trixie is that she thinks she's 4 lbs. Just climbing all over you when you sit on the couch. She still hasn't grown into her skin and she is so clumbsy, dopey. It is really funny. She's so lovey and wants to be hugged all the time. Always wants to be picked up. She's a big mush!! Love her to death. Wouldn't trade her for anything. Mean while little Pebbles is only 4 lbs. They are just so different. And Coco is just "regular" not too big and not too small. He goes with the flow. The girls just beat him up. It's nuts around here.
