| Odor I'm a new Biewer mommy. I've never had a Yorkie or Biewer or any dog that has long hair on it's face. I gave my new baby a bath Monday and her face was stinky again by Tuesday. I can't tell if it's the eye tearing or dampness around the mouth, but it really smells yucky and just about makes me have a gag reflux - I think because I've just never experienced it as my other dogs have their faces shaved every week. I got some eye wipes and have washed the face area twice each day and am starting to use a water bottle & stand. She's 6 months old and just met my vet and is a super healthy, well-bred dog, there's nothing wrong with her. Can someone give me some idea of what I can do. I love this little girl, but the thought of this smell everyday is not pleasant to me. When we are in my small car, it just about keels me over. Again, this is NOT the dog, it's me being very sensitive to the smell. I just need some way of working with it. Any help very appreciated. Thank you. |

| She may be retaining baby teeth. Our Biewer puppy Aja had a very foul smelling face until she was spayed and had 4 baby teeth removed...now she's got fabulous breath... okay maybe not fabulous but it's all relative right? LOL

| My vet said the same thing when I asked about Lulu's bad breath. For some reason (maybe she lost some of those teeth) her breath is much better these days. I even brought her a tooth brush, but haven't used it much.
