| Needing Help...I sa wthis on craigslist and thought Id email them and tell them all about YT. hopefully they join and get all the help they need here. heres their ad. Needing Help With Yorkshire.. Date: 2009-03-20, 10:50AM AKDT I have a 1 year old Male Yorkshire Terror. I just got him a couple months back.. & I need a little bit of help with him. I have Never owned a Yorky.. & I am slowly learning he is a very very hyper active dog.. He has a lot of bad habits, I'm not sure how to break him from it. He eats diapers, Gets into litter box, Underwear, Socks, Cords, Coats, Pretty much anything he can get his little paws on.. I don't want to hit him for doing some thing wrong. He also likes to run off down the road, I have tried waiting for him to come back but that doesn't work, Running after him doesn't work either. he nearly got us hit by a truck. Calling him back to the house doesn't work either. I have tried shock collars, it didn't effect him at all. If this keeps happening I'm going to have to get rid of him, That's not what I want. I've tried those dog camps. They didn't work out.. Is their any one who owns or who has owned a Yorkshire, & That has any helpful tips. Or training that might work for him? I would really appreciate any help I could get, He really is a great dog when hes not being a little terror on four paws. Any ways... Please e mail me if you have any advice. Thank you. |
