| Rescue and coat repair? Hi all...My new little girl is about 1 1/2 yrs old. She's a rescue and her coat is VERY thin, frizzy looking and short (really worse than the picture shows). Do you think her coat will stay this way or is it just because of the bad situation she was in? Could it possibly be a thyroid problem? I've been using Harry Barker shampoo and creme rinse---I'm just not sure if maybe some yorkies just have this type of coat. Also I posted a thread a while back about her severe seperation anxiety--I am happy to report that she is improving. We still have a long way to go but she is better and, I am changing her name from Bailey to Molly. Thanks! Cathy mom to Sergeant and Molly |

| First, I would like to thank you for choosing to rescue and she will give you so much love and joy. It is not the shampoo and conditioner that you are using but most likely poor nutrition from her prior situaltion. It might take a while but if she was not well taken care of prior to coming to live with you and was fed a low quality food this would effect how her coat looks. Her coat will improve with better nutrition. What are you currently feeding her?

| I am feeding her Evo---I also got some omega fatty acids (fish oil) but I haven't been using it, she doesn't like the taste and I don't like the way it smells--she gets in all in her beard - yuck! Cathy |

| Did you adopt her from a reputable group who had her vetted and did bloodwork? Was she checked for worms? If not, she needs a CBC and a fecal. You can have a thyroid panel done at the same time. Most likely the poor thing is just in terrible physical condition. I'm sure you'll see a big improvement in her appearance with good food and TLC. |

| How long have you had her? It could take months before you see any improvement since it will come from the regrowth.
