Help - Urine In Carpets Hi Everyone, I'm new to this forum. My little guy Petey is about 80% housebroken...but it's been a long year and my carpets hold the proof! I had them professionally cleaned last week but I can still smell urine. Please give me some advice. Our condo is only 2 years old so I can't replace the carpeting yet Thanks for any suggestions

Hi and Welcome to YT!!! You will find tons of info here on this topic since we have all been there I just recently used a mixture someone posted here of Hydrogen Peroxide, Baking Soda, and Dish soap and it worked wonders! I could smell it but not see it so I realy just sprayed down the whole section of carpet. I also use Nature's Miracle for stains. I can't wait to see pictures of your baby!!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | There's a few things - We used Natures Miracle from Petco - you saturate your carpet AND pad - You can clean the carpet but the pad is where the problem usually is. The Petco cleaner/deoderizer takes about 2 weeks to dry but I did check and the smell was gone - you just have to find what works for you but you CAN treat your carpets. If it's in too many places - then you may never get rid of the smell and the carpet should be replaced - the pad will soak up the urine and stay in there even if you treat the carpet...(we own a flooring biz) lol - so good luck ! That's why I have LOTS of tile in my house. |

I have also used the Urine Gone you can order off the internet and it works well to get rid of the odor.

Best stuff I have two yorkies, the same age and went through all those housetraining accidents. The best product I have come up with is "Get Serious stain extractor". It is completely organic, no chemicals and to me works better than the Natures Miracle. You squirt it on the stain, swish in with a small brush, place a clean towel or cloth on it, come back and stain and odor is gone. It is available at both Petedge and Petsmart. Good luck.
