Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Welcome to YT and congrats on your new little girl. BTW, most of us don't use the word T-cup. It is an advertising term not a true word to describle your little girl. |

The word tea-cup is just an advertising term just like scrapindee stated. in her reply, i'm not sure exactly how to determine weight, do you know how much she weighs currently? I believe you triple the weight at 8weeks OR double at 12weeks I could be wrong though but I have seen this in other posts..all puppies grow at different levels do you know the weight of the parents? that should be able to help you out a little bit... my Lily is almost 3yrs old and she weighs 3.7 pds and if anyone asks me if she is a teacup which happens all the time, I just smile and says NO she's just small! my other girl Mia is 9weeks she just went to the vet friday and shes 1.3 pds my vet estimates her weight around 4 pds so we will see... as far as rabies I think 1 yr is too long to wait.. I dont remember exactly what age Lily was when I first got her's I think around 6mos but it was deffinately before 1 yr of age.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | As for your other question about the shot(s)... I don't know the vet's official policy but I have learned by reading Yorkietalk that most of the owners and vets worry about the weight of the Yorkie before certain procedures. |
