| Need your expert opinions! Should I buy another yorkie? My husand and I have a 15 week old male and we have fallen in love. We would love to have another one so that we each have "our own" puppy. But before we make such a big decision, I want to get your opinions. If you have two yorkies, how is it? If you don't, do you have a particular reason for not buying another? Every idea, opinion, thought would be appreciated. Thank you! |

| They say yorkies are like Lays potato chips, you can't have just one. I didn't have 2 yorkies at a time, and it was no harder on me than havng one. Infact, probably easier(other than double cleaning up) as they kept eachother company and played well together |

| i look at it this way, if i were going to have more than one, i would do it at the same time if possible, you wont have to go through potty training another time and they will grow up and love each other,if you have the time and finances needed for two pups, go for it!!

| One for each has not worked here. Although my husband is the one that feeds them, I bath ,brush, walk etc, they follow me constantly. When I come home they go crazy but when hubby comes home they just look up from their places on the couch and say "oh, it's you" and go back to sleep

| I honestly think 2 babies at the same time would be difficult because it takes so much attention just to housetrain one. I have considered getting another but then I start to think I don't want my Chloe to have to share the attention. lol....Im a wierdo. If there is a will there is a way though. If you really want another go for it but you never know who its going to bond with more..

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | They say if you have two puppies at the same time they bond more with each other than they do to humans. If your going to be gone a lot, this is great though. Joey's breeder suggested waiting several years because a new puppy can bring back interest to an older dogs life. It also allows you to spread out expenses, the first couple of years are expensive, but so are the last couple of years.

| We got our 2nd yorkie a few weeks after we got our first one. I would highly recommend it. Because toy dogs exist for the purpose of being companion I really think it is great to have two so that they can keep each other company. However, it is really funny having more than one: they are like children. You can have two of the identical toy and they will want the toy the OTHER dog has. My girls are good and hardly fight—but is cute to watch them play and wrestle. |

YT Addict | oh this is sooo good to hear. I am getting one of my yorkies this weekend and then getting another one of the 18th of April. I am glad that many of you said to just go for it. I think that you should just go for it too! Get another one! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Remember, this is Yorkietalk; you could post a thread saying that you have a dozen yorkies, and ask people if they thought you should get another one. You know what the overwhelming response would be? A few of the saner people would say, "If you can afford it." The overwhelming majority would say, "Go for it!"
