| Crazy facts - and why you should spay/neuter An un-spayed female and her mate and all of their puppies gone un-spayed or un-neuter can really add up. With in 6 years there can be 60,000+ puppies. 1 Year: 16 2 Years: 128 3 Years: 512 4 Years: 2048 5 Years: 12,288 6 Years: 67,000 Each day 70,000 puppies and kitten are born. As long as these birth rates exist, there will never be enough homes for all the animals. As a result, millions of healthy, loving cats, dogs, kittens and puppies face early deaths due to a lack of homes. Others are left to fend for themselves against automobiles, diseases, the elements, animals and cruel humans. Help keep the animals from suffering. Stop the cycle before its starts by spaying and neutering your pets. Spaying or neutering your pet helps support the health of your companion. Spaying eliminates heat cycles for females, lessens their desire to roam, and helps protect them against mammary gland tumors, and ovarian and uterine cancer. Neutering males reduces and may eliminate spraying or marking behavior, lessens their desire to roam and totally eliminates their risk of testicular cancer.
