| Do you have a dog carrier? What kind? I would like to buy a pet carrier for my Mia. I want to be able to take her with me places and I know on the airplanes they allow some. I've been researching them and found a few I like but most I see being sold second hand are because "they don't fit anymore". It's so hard to imagine my baby full grown right now. What size should I get? Her mom and dad are both 5 lbs but I think she's going to run a bit bigger... maybe 7 lbs? Do any of you have dog carriers and what size are they? This is one of the ones I like.... NEW Dog Cat Monogram Carrier Crate Portable House SMALL - eBay (item 290264668863 end time Mar-29-09 23:55:58 PDT) What size dog would you think would be comfy in there? Maybe I should just go down to a pet store and look? hmmmmmmmm

| Has anyone ever seen a Yorkie in a carrier? I'm just so worried about it being too small and her not being happy in it..... anyone? Help?

| I bought a Coach dog carrier purse. My babies are still little. When It's just me and I have to take both of them I put them in the carrier. It's big enough for both of them. I put a towel in the bottom, put in some bully sticks and away we go. They love it. I bought it off E-bay. I will find the e-bay store and let you know where to find them. It's a good size. I can fit my pomeranian in it and she's 8lbs.

| Ooooooooooooooo, that's one I was looking at too! I wasn't sure tho how much air flow was in it cause it only seemed like one end was mesh. Thank you sooooo much for responding! Do you have any pics of your babies in it? I would LOVE to see them. Thanks again, I appreciate any help I can get!

| I have a Pet Flyes Puppy Love Purple size small carrier that I am looking to sell. I just don't need it. It fits up to an 11 lb dog. I paid $115 for it and only used it twice. It is airline approved and will fit under most airline seats. It is very durable as well as cute!!!!!!!!!! Let me know if you might be interested and we can negotiate. It looks like this Pet Flys Dog Carrier Mini Puppy Love Brown and Purple - eBay (item 180322685076 end time Mar-22-09 14:45:19 PDT) But the dimensions are: 10"H x 9"W x 16"L

| Thanks for thinking of me but I'm not a huge fan of purple... it is cute tho! How is the size? Is your dog happy in it? How big is your dog? I'm so afraid to buy something only to have it not fit in six months, know what I mean? My last dog was a Great Dane and let me tell you about owning stuff that "didn't fit" anymore, lol!

| I made a post a few weeks ago about an Argo pet carrier backpack. It's made by Teafco (www.teafco.com). I love this bag. My yorkie is ~5.5 lbs. The bag says it's for dogs up to 10 pounds I believe. Probably more comfortable the smaller they are but if you are looking for something that you can use on an airplane, this is about the biggest the bags get (the puppies have to go under the seat in front of you). The best part is the bag is very lightweight and won't hurt your shoulders. I can't hardly feel my puppy in it! It's definately not the most attractive bag out there but I like comfort especially when travelling! I use it in the car as well. The bag is also double mesh so people can't even tell you have a dog inside of it. I bought mine from this website: Teafco AC6 - X - Argo Action Petpack Airline Approved Carrier Hope this helps! |
