| leg lifting Do male dogs always lift their legs to pee? Is this just instinct? My puppy is 8 months old, nutered and still squats to pee. Will he just someday lift his leg to go or will he always just squat? One more question. Widget is spending a lot of time humping his toys. Is this something that will go away? He was netured at 6 months. |

| Not all dogs lift their leg. Since hes already been neutered aand hes still humping he most likely continue. Just tell him no when he does it and take away the toy he humps if you want him to learn not to do it

YT 2000 Club Member | Tucker, neutered at 4 months old, will do both. Depending where we are in the yard. If we are by a snow pile he will lift his leg, if we are in the middle of the yard he will squat.

| Bacca is 16 months old and was fixed very early. He still squats to pee (I hope that continues). My son has one particular stuffed animal that Bacca continually humps. Even though the stuffed animal is mostly kept away, every now and then my kids leave it out, Bacca humps away, we tell him no and take it away. Bacca will cry for it at the toy box if he's see's us put it away. Gross!! |
