| yorkie ears does anyone else have a yorkie whose ears are not up? charlie's ears are droopy and down. My friend told me that yorkie ears are suppose to be up. she said she kept playing with her yorkie's ear and eventually it went up. Her yorkie is over a year old. Just curious to see if charlie is the only one with his ears down. I actually like his ears down. I don't know if there is any health issues with that. |

| How old is Charlie? If he's teething his ears may go up after he's finished teething.

| Emme carries off the droopy ear look so well, and I do mean REALLY well. But I don't think all yorkies do. Some even do one up and one down really well, while some don't. Yes, all dogs are cute anyway, but it's like... some look better with a short hair cut vs a long cut in people, and some look better with it curly and others look off... I know my girl looked cute when she had it droopy at first (when she still had her puppy coat), but also knew that I would regret it if I never tried to make sure they stood before it was too late because that's just the look I fell in love with years ago when I decided that I wanted a yorkie one day for myself. I know she now looks her best with them not flopping. Occassionally her weaker left ear would flop but at least it only happens very rarely and it just reminds me each time how much I do like her with both ears proudly standing. She's not good with carrying off the floppy look. Her ears are too small for that and maybe it's also the colouring. I also like the fact that her ears can breathe, though it also means it can get more dirt and water/rain inside. |

| I have Samson who is 9 months old and his ears have been up since I got him. Harley is 3 months old and his ears are down. I was bummed when I got him because of this and now I would HATE for them to be up, although I see they are trying to go up. He is so cute with them down that I really hope they stay that way.

| Laddy's ears were down until 3 weeks ago some helpful people here told me to shave the inside, the edges and a third of the way down the back and to tape..i tried all the tape suggestions to no avail but 3 days after shaving them his ears came up they did tell me u need to do it young though. Laddy is 18 weeks old. I think yorkies are beautiful either way. |

| Baxter's ears are floppy. He can pick them up but most of the time they are down. We did the shaving it didn't help and I couldn't bear to tape them. To me he is precious even if he didn't have any ears at all! |
