| The saddest Yorkie i've ever seen:( this evening Suzi and I went for a stroll around the neighborhood. Something we both enjoy. I took her to a neighborhood apartment complex to walk her around the building.. Something we have done before many times. LAst time we did this a couple little girls infomed me that A family had A yorkie too. ANd showed me the apt. They were not there that time, so I thought coold anther neighborhood Yorkie! this evening we came across the most pathetic little Yorkie boy ever. He could have been no more then 4-5 lbs. And his hair was all in his eyes and so scraggly, with his longer hair just a mess on his little body, My heart sank, and it got worse. This little one , whose name is Chico, meaning boy in spanish, had a heavy chained around his little collar: it was one of those metal ones too, and the Yorkie had no room to go anywhere. The little guy had a small bark and could not even jump from the chain on him. The kids had him wrapped to the gaurd rails of their patio. Geez I could not believe my eyes. I asked the girls if he goes in the house becuse I saw a dog bed out on the patio too. Poor little Yorkie looked horrendous. I asked then how old was Chico and one girl said 15, however i asked her again later , and she did not really know. Any type of animal cruelty is unthinkable, and when it is tiny yorkie it makes it horriblely sickening. Why haave a beautiful dog and treat it so poorly. I asked the girls if Chico gets groomed/A haircut she said yes , at petsmart. Hummm I knew This baby had NOt been groomed in several months if at any time. The poor little baby couold not even see with all his hair in his eyes. This is something that will stay with me for a long time. I could feel that the girls did not think much of Chico , and Chico was not A well socialized dog either. i just had to get out of there, and turned and walked away. Thinking about the sad little boy I just saw broke my heart into pieces.

| Heartbreaking Poor little guy. If the novelty of having a pet has worn off to his owners maybe you can ask them a few questions about him and express an interest in him? I'm sure with a little YT help you can find him a better home if it really that bad for Chico.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | How horribly sad. I'm a little confused...does Chico belong to these girls or do they just know about him? I hope that there is some way for poor little Chico to get the love he deserves! Sorry you're having to deal with this...I can't imagine how sad it must be to see.

| Oh my.....If I saw something like that, I would take my grooming shears and definitely give him a trim so the poor guy could see along with some treats!! I'm not telling you to do this...but HOW SAD!!! POOR BABY BOY...Snickers is so beyond smothered by his dad and I...I just don't get it. Why have a dog if it lives outside and not part of the family!!??

| This just puts knots in my stomach! I probably would have had to tell them that they can break his neck like that. (even if that is a little fabricated!). I don't even like to see those chains are large dogs! ugh!!!

| Can you not report this or ask them if they would like to give him up? No dog should be treated this way! Please do something to help him. |

| Maybe they will let you take him home for a play date????? Id keep walking by the house and show intrest, bring him a treat or two or three, and perhaps they will just give them to you!! From the sounds of things they dont care much for the pup!! Maybe you can encourage one of the kids to take him for a walk with you, if the parents allow it!! I hate it when people are cruel to animals.. its just aweful! |

| A chain?? Oh, this sounds awful. Can you call the human society or the police? They may not remove the dog, but it might give the owners a wake up call.
