| Oh oh... HELP?? Ok, when I brought Mia home from the breeder she gave me a ziploc bag of kibble and said "this is Eagle Pack Holistic small breed puppy formula" so thats what I bought. Last night we finnished off the ziploc bag of food, and this morning I opened the new bag I purchased.. IT'S NOT THE SAME!!!! I know your supposed to transition a pup if your going to change foods but I wasn't planning on changing so I didn't save any of the old stuff. She's staving and I don't even know what the old food was to go to the store to buy more of, never mind that its Sunday and the stores aren't open for a long time yet. Is she going to get sick from the new food? HELP!! |

| Well, obviously your baby has to eat so just go ahead and give her a little. You need to call the breeder and find out exactly what she was feeding. The formula you have might be similar enough to what she was eating as to not upset her stomach. An example is I can switch between Canidae and Chicken Soup without any problems because they both have similar ingredients. If the formula you were feeding had a different source of protein than the new food then it might be a problem. If the new food upsets her tummy then she might get some loose stools so have some pure canned pumpkin on hand in case you need it. If possible find out as soon as you can what she was eating and get some to mix in with the new food. Let us know how things go. |

| I've sent off an email to the breeder and hope I get a quick response. I was positive she said Eagle Pack so maybe I just got the wrong type of Eagle pack and hopefully it will be similiar enough that she won't get sick. I gave her some and she likes it so.... fingers crossed! |

| I'd go ahead and give her a little and see how she does. Two days ago I decided to start transitioning Riot's food, and put a little of the knew mixed with the old nad he just picked out the new kibbles. Left all his old food sitting there! He's been eating just the new food for two days and has been just fine, no loose poopies or belly aches =)
