Thor's Human Donating Member | Does anyone else have a long yorkie? Does anyone here have a yorkie who is the opposite of cobby? It's not that Thor looks like he's been crossed with a daschund or anything, but he has no body fat to speak of, and these super-long legs attached to this super-long body. If he were human, he'd be a supermodel. Right now he's sleeping with his legs tucked under him, and he looks like a furry, grey snake. A furry grey snake with a yorkie head. Do you know what I mean? If you look at my avatar, you can probably see how long his body his. I think that shot makes him look slightly disproportionate, like he has a tiny bean head on this long, slinky body. His head is in proportion to his body... his long, long body. Maybe it's that he is very small (4 lbs) and still has the face of a puppy without the chubby, short-limbed puppy body. I don't know. Someone please help me figure it out!

| My girl's long and leggy so in a way, she still meets standard--sort of, as she's about as long as she is tall. She's thin too. I've always been calling her our little supermodel. She forgets that she's supposed to aspire to be a yorkie supermodel which is short and cobby, instead, she's trying to be a human one. She has small facial features so sometimes, I think people who only see her head think she's smaller than she actually is. I'm just glad she isn't long and stumpy... then she'd really resemble a relative of the doxies. Last edited by Miao; 02-25-2009 at 12:28 AM. Reason: left out a word |

| Hahaha, yeah Nikko is a long and lanky boy too. Here's the best picture I have to show off how long he is. What really cracks me up is that right before he stretches, he "opposite-stretches" and arches his back up really high - it looks exactly like a cat that's being terrorized. |

| Wrigley and Camden weigh almost exactly the same, but they are different in length and height! Wrigley has longer legs and her body has a good couple inches on Camden. Camden is a shrimp, low to the ground and she's short!

| Mine is really long too. He's been really long ever since we first saw him at 8 weeks old. The funny thing is, we had originally fallen in love with a long and big yorkie we saw on a train once. Their was something about him that made him different from the other yorkies, b/c of his length and size. His personality was different too...more calm and knowing. And our little guy is starting to look so much like the one who made us want a yorkie in the first place! |

YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | My Brandi is a long one too! We joke that she is part Daschund, but we own both her parents, so we know she's 100% yorkie!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I don't consider a dog long, if they have long legs as well, this would make them more square shaped, which I think is perfect. Long body to me means that the body is long in proportion to its legs, more like a Daschund. Quote:
