| New Baby Yo-Shon I just bought a 7 week old yorkie- shon....what ever that is. He is so cute but he likes to bite on me and chew. Never has a dog like this. I am used to German sheperds. But I have fallen in love with him. I want to know what are some good tething toys I need to get from petco or pet smart. And also he is eating puppy chow. Is that good? Any suggestions. |

| Im guessing its a yorkie bishon frise mix. Post pics. Welcome to YT! I am going to leave feeding to other more experienced members with pups this young. 7 weeks is a bit young for a pup to leave its mom, so I am not sure what a pup that age should be eating or playing with. Im sure you'll get some responses though!

| Puppy chow is a very poor food. Do a search on here on foods and youll find good brands. I can tell you Petco carries wellness and Natural balance and those are both good foods. If you do switch the food do it gradually. Some good chews are bully sticks or a kong frozen with yourt or peanut butter in it

| baby And I am wondering what to expect from my new baby. What is normal and not normal. He pees and poops where ever he pleases. Luckily it is really small. I have paper down but he just goes where ever he is. Is he too young to be taken outside to potty? How do i potty train a dog this small. I really need to know about this breed. |

| If it is cold where your at he is too young to be taken outside. He is very young and vulernable so you have to be careful with him. I would confine him with a pee pad when you cant watch him. When you can watch him keep taking him to the pee pad after he eats and plays and say go potty. When he does make a big fuss and reward with treat

My baby likes the ropes, rubber toys, small stuffed toys that squeak. Her favorite is this box I found. It's great to store their toys in! I put it in an old pillow case and sealed it with a knot. They love chewing cardboard!!! This way they can. Without the possibility of swallowing it(or making a mess). She also plays with the knot. It keeps her busy for hours!!! Good luck with your new baby..... OOps forgot....after yelling ouch...give him a toy or chewy that he is allowed to chew and praise him as soon as he bites down on it.
