| Neutering? Stitches? What to do? Hi Guys, I checked out the site on onsies and neutering and spaying. Copper is getting neutered tomorrow! I am so worried. Give me some advice about keeping him from messing with the stitches. He is also having his baby teeth removed...the ones that didn't fall out yet. Maybe that will deter him from chewing???? Help, you guys?

| Actually, many Yorkie's don't even bother with their stitches. Some who do wear one of those lamp shade collars. Well wishes and thoughts to Copper during his surgery.

| When I picked Gracie up at the vet, he told me that she would probably lick her stitches and that it was okay that she did, but to watch her and make sure she was only licking...when i brought her home she didn't mess with them...and eventually she began to lick but i kept an eye on her and she only licked them didn't bite so i think you should be alright....will be thinking about your baby tommorow!!!!

| Well, Copper wound up not having the surgery today. Last night he developed a little cough and I told the vet about it this morning and he checked him out first. He has kennel cough! I have no idea where he picked that up. The VA told me that it is airborne and that they can get it even if they are in your house all day long.....SOooo, I guess we will have to reschedule after he gets off antibiotics.
