♥Tiny Tia my Furbaby♥ Donating Member | electrick shocks from crate? Lately my little girl doesnt want to go in her crate and last night I heard a crackling sound as she went in I think because of her hair she is getting static shocks while in there. Going to get her some anti static coat conditioner and try that but is there anything else I can do, she seems really distressed.have anyone ever had this problem? |

| What is the crate sitting on? Wool or synthetic carpet? Do you have an old 100% cotton bedsheet or towel around? Try putting the crate on that. Try to leave some of the sheet in front of the crate door, like a "porch," so that she enters the crate from a non-conductive material.

Why not take the door off her crate and see if that helps? you can put it back on when you need to put her to bed or something, but try taking the door off and seeing if that is the cause of the static discharge. If it is, a large rubber mat will probably solve the problem.
