I Love Thor Donating Member | Neuturing Woahs...my little boy I don't know if this should go under health but anyways, my question is; What brand of microchip does everyone use? My vet told me that is would be a certain amount of money that I had to pay to the vet for the chip (like $15 or something), but then I would have to mail some more money into the company. So this process is a little confusing, and I'd like to know a) what brand people use, and b) what are peoples' experiences with microchips. I have heard all good things about them, just curious to know YT user thoughts as they are always helpful. I am going to set him up an appointment to get neutered this tomorrow, so it will probably happen next week. This all comes about due to his new 'marking' habbit. I want to nip it in the bud. I'm a little upset about the neuter, but I know there is no reason to be. One more thing. Are there any problems associated with neutering a dog to early or too late? Thor is almost 6 months. Thanks, Hannah |

| I just got my yorkie mix nuetered on Friday and he is almost 6 months old. My guy is big though--about 7 lbs. I already noticed him marking a lot less and it has only been 5 days.

| I was more upset about leaving him over night than the actual procedure. It was his first night away from me and me from him.. He was fine, though. He was his same old self when I picked him up. Didn't act sore or anything.

| We recently had Buddha neutered but he came home the same day. I think he still marks the same from what i can tell and he was 9 months old when he was neutered. The humping has lessened though. The surgery wasn't too bad but we forgot and bathed on day three and irritated the incision a little but he was fine and actually pulled the suture out himself after week! It was only one stitch. |
