| are yorkies known as diggers We have an 8 month old yorkie and recently got another one, he is 12 weeks old. This little one has already dug 3 holes in my back yard. It isn't a big deal as he is doing it in the rocks and not the grass but my oldest one never did this. Are they known for digging?

| Yes they do! My Jewels digs in the couch. One time we had a mud pit in the back of the house where we put a pond in and Chachi went back and dug in it and was a muddy mess

| They're terriers! It's their job. Penny loves to dig too-- she loves going to beaches, not for the swimming but for the ample digging. She goes absolutely WILD in the sand.

| Bella digs, Puddie does not. Bella puts her head down and tries to get to China; our "dirt" is more like compacted sand ... and she sends it flying like a rooster tail behind her . |

| I took Missy for her first outing yesterday at a park. The whole time we were there all she wanted to do was dig. She dug rocks, grass, and dirt. I kept redirecting her because I don't really want it to become a habit.

| Lucky digs inside and outside. He buries his bones by digging the couch then takes his nose and acts like he is covering it up. It is soooo funny.

| The first time I took Pippin to the beach, he was a sand digging machine - poor little puppy. He got sand everywhere, including in his eyes, so I had to leave right away and shower him down. He was a smart little guy though, after that one incident he never had much of a propensity to dig in the sand again. I took him with me to FL for several months (Atlantic and Neptune beaches) and let him play with other dogs on the beach several times without a problem. Maybe it was a puppy thing? |

♥ Mama's Boy ♥ Donating Member | We live in an apartment so we don’t have a yard, but Tobie loves to bury his bones in the couch cushions and then dig in the couch to get them out, it drives me nuts! Its a good thing he is so cute! |

| Bella likes to dig. The little stinker gets on her side and goes nuts with the digging on my cushions....Its funny, but we do try and correct her. I really dont want my couch ruined from her digging. The other day I went into the kitchen and she was trying to dig the tile...I have wax on my floors and it was the funniest thing to see her slipping and sliding trying to dig..LOL |
