| Strange little fellow Rudy will be five months old tomorrow, and has been with us since the beginning of December. He gets along great with Toby, is 92.5% potty trained, is a great cuddler, and is doing reasonably well in the puppy training class. He also has some very strange traits, he will bark to get attention but would let the entire Ohio State Band walk through the front door and not let out a peep. He will give us kisses (only on the nose), but we have never seen him pant or stick his tongue out like Toby. He also has to walk around his food dish three times before he will start to eat anything. Do your yorkies have peculiar traits like this, or should I seek some professional help for him?

| Your little guy sounds just about right! Mine was a more than a year old before he started to do the adorable Yorkie tongue thing and he still sometimes circles his food dish before eating. He likes to sit on my shoulder to play with his chew toys (he started this as a very little puppy with no prompting from me). He has a little dance he does when he's happy (or when he's just pooped!). They are indeed strange and wonderful little babies!

| My furbutt does SO many strange things! He's so precious. When it's cold and I want him to poo but he is taking his time doing his little poopy dance, I can't help but laugh at him! I love his little personality! He's so cute that I can forgive him WAY easier than I forgive my husband!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | My little Lola walks around her bowl a few times while she's eating too! I thought that was so bizarre, and I didn't know why she did it. My boyfriend thinks she's just looking for a good angle to dig in. She'll eat a couple bites, then walk around it, then eat some more, walk around...etc. I don't know about yours, but Lola is extremely submissive. Maybe this is just submissive behavior? I wouldn't be worried though. Just love him for his differences I don't know though, I'm definitely not an expert in this area. |

| Puddin is still a tiny puppy but she is already showing her first little "thing": She takes a piece of kibble into her mouth then goes inside her crate to eat it Then back to the bowl for another piece of kibble, then back to the crate! She has also figured out how to climb out of her basket bed and back into it, so when she has finished eating, she takes her last piece of kibble and climbs into her basket to eat it! Then she either plays with her stuffed toy or takes a nap. She's only been here a week, but already she has stolen my heart!

| I don't think he knows what submissive means, his nickname is The Little Dictator. He barks if he hears the word "No" (hence the puppy classes)...even though they get along well he is constantly stealing away any toy that Toby tries to play with (and a game of tag starts)...and when Toby has had enough and makes him lay down on his back, he proceeds to make all his stuffies lay on their back so he can be dominant...lol

| That's not strange at all .... The barking is a sign of anxiety or stress Dogs will bark when they want something or when they get excited But strangers or people coming through a door will be someting else That's an alarm bark My Mike barks an alarm bark when people pass by or when he gets frightened of something and it sounds completely different from his regular bark He's got a whole repetoire His alarm bark is loud and sounds a little like a Beagle My Zach .... doesn't bark like that Maybe he's letting his brother take care of it and the circling the dish .... a lot of dogs have this habit again ... my Mike sometimes forgets how to eat from his dish and he'll push the food around and try to see if it came out the other end
