| skittish question, gagging question question number 1) Bailee has gotten where every little thing is scaring her...plastic bags, irons, stuffed toys,2 liter bottles,etc...ive heard they go thru a stage hwere they are skittish...she will be 5 months a Valentine's day, could it bejust a phase? now, question number 2) Bailee sleeps with me most nites, but when my boyfriend stays over she sleeps in her kennel because he is so big and I am scared he will roll over on her. Whenever he is here we wake to sounds like she is going to throw up,heaving and gagging noises. She has never actually thrown up(unless she just swallowed it back down) that i am aware of...When i get her and put her in the bed she is fine...do you think she is trying to get me to put her in the bed and wants attn? My boyfriend came up wit this theory.

| This sounds like a reverse sneeze Some yorkies and other smaller breeds do this It sounds very odd ... like a honking goose One of my pups does it when he wakes up and when he gets very excited as far as the being skiddish some pups are more scared of new things then others The best way to battle that one is to open up his horizens have him go to dog parks give him love and treats when he's seeing and experiencing new things Try not to console him when he is being skiddish because that is rewarding that specific behavior

| Yogi is 6 months now and he is starting to be weary of things that never use to bother him. If I see him being scared of something I slow things down and bring him gently to it so that he can see there's nothing to be afraid of. He'll usually sniff it, then put it in his mouth. Then he's ok with it. To my way of thinking when he gets a little scared and I show him it's ok, it helps to strengthen his knowledge that I will keep him safe. I also am trying to get him out and around new things more. He really has a layed back attitude and I want to nurture that and keep it growing so that he doesn't become timid. Of course, treat rewards when he does conquer his fear of something helps too. Can't help you with the other, but your BF may be on to something with his theory. Next time can you try just "ignoring" it and listen to see what happens. Does she escalate the noise, try a different noise, go back to sleep? I'd be curious to see what happens.
