Yorkie Talker | Well would this make him distant? I come to you fellow yorkie lovers with yet another problem i am confused about. I just had my wisdom teeth out. It went well but my recovery has been horrid. I have been in pain for a week and still cant eat solid foods. The day i got them out, Jasper jumped up in bed with me, sniffed me, gave me a weird look and ran away. Since then he has been staying in my moms room! He wont stay in here alone with me, and he wont get on his pillow. He comes in, checks on me, and then goes into the other room. I am worried, I cant spend the normal amount of time with him and he is with my mom all the time. I worrie because I dont want to loose the bond ive formed with Jasper. Do you think he is just realizing that I am in pain and therefore doesnt want to hurt me by staying with me? Or could there be a more serious problem??? HALP!

| He may freak out because you smell differently? Or maybe it is the bleeding coz he smells blood? I am just guessing...I hope someone else could help you more. I had my wisdom teeth taken out a month ago (all four at once) and my Yorkie just slept with me throughout my whole ordeal so it was a different reaction. Be sure to check with your dentist if your still in pain after a week just in case of infection or dry spot. Hope you will get well soon.

| =) It sucks when you have them out...I remember being hungry, very hungry for the first 3 days and I could somewhat eat after that. Mine wasn't really that painful compared to the wisdom tooth infection that I had that led to the extraction but the bleeding was bad and the painkillers were making me sick coz my stomach was empty. I hope you'll be well soon. I am sure Jasper will adjust very soon.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Jasper is probably sensing your pain and the smell may be scarring him off.

| I had a terrible experience with my wisdom teeth. The dentist forgot to pack them, and all kinds of food got in them, and caused an infection. No matter what I took to ease the pain it wouldn't work. You need to call him, and tell him how much pain your in. Your baby may be smelling the rotting food, and be upset.

| I had two surgries in Nov, and Dec last year. I had to stay in bed a long time afterwards and Suzi was right by my side the whole time... Maybe your Jasper is scared to see you in this much pain, he does not know what to do, and is frightend. He could be confused to see such a dramatic change in you and does not know how to react. I Am sure he loves you very much, just a little confused about the sudden change in your behavior. He will start to feel better as soon as you do, and all will be back to normal. I hope you will feel better soon, take care !
