| I dont think I'm doing it right I brush my baby every day. I use a detangling spray a pin brush comb and puppy wipes. She's been given a bath twice by me, I make sure I wash out the shampoo well. but her coat gets mats and gets tangled on her legs and her backside a lot, every day there are nots and the hair on her belly and leggs is kind of nappy. what products/ accessories do you use to get your baby's coat silky and smooth?

| At first I had the same problem with Mia. Someone here recomded Chris Christensen day to day Shampoo and conditioner. Then I use the Ice on Ice leave in and detangler spray Is working wonderfully. Hope it works the same for you. |

If your puppy has a cotton texture to the coat it will be more time consuming to maintain because it will have to be brushed every day and bathed at least every week. If the coat is silk it will get easier to keep at about six months old and brushing can be reduced to maybe twice per week.

| I used to have the same problem with Cash - no matter what leave-in conditioner I used, his hair was tangly and it looked terrible. Around the time that I was at my wits' end, I visited a breeder. Her dogs had such amazing coats. I asked what she uses (she grooms them herself) and she said she uses Pantene Smooth and Silky conditioner. I started using that along with a supplement (ShowDog from Nutureline) and now Cash has a lovely coat which doesn't tangle nearly as much. I hope that helps. Btw, I know you aren't supposed to use human products on dogs, but Cash's skin allergies cleared up after I started using the conditioner!!
