| Just joined..Yorkie/Silkie mix as was told when I adopted her?? Hello everyone, Two days ago I adopted a baby girl named Rily. She is beautiful and oh so smart. I was told that she is 5 months old and is a Yorkie/Silkie mix. I am new to both breeds so I thought I would post her pics here and maybe get some opinions from from experienced owners as to if I were informed correctly. The lady I got her from stated that she was rehoming her because she had 5 kids and simply did not have the time for Rily that she thought she would when she got her. Her hair coat seems really thin and short compaired to alot of the photos of pups I have seen on here. |

| Thank you, it is very hard to get her to sit still long enough to get a good picture. My two toy poodle boys may have a little something to do with that. LOL |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Congratulations and Rily is adorable! Yorkie coats come in several types, not all will grow as quickly or be as thick as others, some never do get very long or thick. In the last picture her muzzle does resemble a silky somewhat, but it's hard to say for certain.

| Thanks to every one for the warm welcomes and comments. I am considering renaming her as Shasta. Do you think that would be ok at her age? She is a very quick learner, especially with treats involved. |

| Welcome to YT She is adorable !!! and yes you can rename her. I had to rename my Max, as his name was Ryan and that was the name of my son. Max picked up very soon.
