| 10 weeks and 1.8kg! My Bebe is 10 weeks today and weights 1.8kg (3.9lb)!! I looked at the chart and shes way off it! Does that mean she going to be a biggy yorkie?

YT 2000 Club Member | Its hard to say, some pups start out big and dont grow to much more after the 6 months mark and some start out tiny and grow for up to a year later and then some just keep growing. If you search past post about size you will see that its pretty much all over the place. No 2 yorkies are the same. My little (big ) guy started out big, He was a full pound at a week old, at 10 weeks he was 2.5 pounds, and at his last vet visit he was 5 pounds. He is only 4 months old. He came from 2 4.5 pound sized dogs. All the estimates that Ive done say he will probably be around 8 pounds as an adult but I think he will end up being bigger. You can get some idea if you times there 12 week weight by 2 you will get an idea at what she may weigh but I guess thats not always accurate either.

| Mika was 3lbs at 8 weeks and 5.5lbs at 12 weeks By the time she was 5-6 months she weighed in at 8lbs! Now at just over 10 months she still hovers between 7-8lbs, I don't know if she will have another growth spurt yet but I really don't mind if she does! After all- even a 20lb yorkie is still a very small dog!!! Especially next to my other two dogs-a 50lb staff and 100+lb OESD

| My two are 8 weeks old and weigh just over 2.5 lbs. Sophie is 2lbs. 10 oz. and Chewy is 2 lbs. 9 oz. At the rate they have been growing they'll be at least 3.5 to 4 lbs at 12 weeks. We'll probably be joining the teapot club. Edited to add: She's a cutie! Last edited by JenS; 01-23-2009 at 08:59 AM. |

| AHHHH! She's adorable. My Jack weighs 16.4 lbs and he's almost one yr old. I love him just the same! I knew a lady that bought a brother and a sister from the same litter and one ended up weighing like 4 lbs and the other a whopping 12 lbs. From what I've read, you never know what size they'll be. And I've also heard that a long long time ago yorkies use to be around 15-25 lbs and that people kept breeding them smaller and smaller. They are all just too adorable.

| My big girl is 8.2 pounds and only 15 weeks old. She just keeps growing and growing. I'm wondering how big she's going to end up! She's tall too and the vet says he can tell she's still going to get taller from her growth plates. Its kind of funny cause I have a shih tzu too and she's a small one, only about 8 lbs herself but she's short so my yorkie puppy is towering over her now. I never would have figured that would happen! |
