| ADVICE REQUESTED: I have to leave my baby :o( Hi everyone -- I have to go out of town and will be away from home for 2 weeks (minimum). I am just so worried about my baby being lonely while I am gone . He will be home with my husband and my two girls but he will have much more time alone while I am gone than he is used to (b/c of our schedules he is seldom home alone and not more than just an hour or so when it does happen). I wanted to get some advice on how to make this time a bit easier on him. As I mentioned above, he is not home alone often due to our schedules but when the other family members are home I do try to share him with them to ensure he is adequately comfortable with everyone but I didn't know if: - Should I start having one of them feed him his meals in the am and/or pm so he is used to eating from others? While I am gone, this will also impact his regular times just a bit... should I adjust the times now? - Should I try to leave the house a bit more for longer durations until I leave to help him get used to being alone some? I HATE THE THOUGHT OF THIS!!! Don't get me wrong, he has been home alone before but only for about 2 hours (3 hours ABSOLUTE max). Should I take some afternoon outings without him? It is hard to imagine leaving him behind when he could go with me but I don't want to completely "shock" him. Any other ideas folks have? I would love to get all your advice and try to come up with a good game plan to try to ease into this a bit before I go. I hate the thought of all of these ideas so much but do I... - Do I have cut back on how often I pick him up? - Make him sleep with others? - ???? I am so sad about having to leave but this is something I have to do for medical reasons and he can not come with me. I am so sad about leaving my baby...

| aww what a cute mommy you are! This will be harder on you than on him. He will take food from anyone- i'm sure. So i woudln't worry about that It isn't like you are leaving him at a kennel where he might not get as much loving, there will be people home who will pick him up and play with him so to be perfectly honest, he probaly won't notice much that you are gone. BUT he will be very happy to see you when you come back |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I think since he will be in his home he will fine, just real happy to see you. I am watching a fellow YT members baby for 10 days while she has to go to Japan on a family emergency and then I will meet her BF and he will fly back to Boston and have her for 2 more weeks. I will let you know how she adjusts. I think we suffer more than they do.
