| A Flea!!! This morning when i was giving bentley a bath i found 2 fleas on him..but they seemed to be dead . I was able to pick them right off and they didnt move. Should i go get something for fleas and if so what? I dont know where he would've got them unless they are from the park we walk at. Thanks guys!

| Someone posted that we shouldn't put flea stuff on them right after their baths so you might want to check with your vet. Don't use petstore stuff...from what I have read that is more toxic. There are also natural ways to combat fleas. I have read that feeding them garlic or using some kind of eucalyptus (sp?) oil works? Hope someone else can be more helpful. |

| Good Idea to call the vet ! My vet told Us that the frontline does not kill fleas but it makes them sterile if they bite Your baby that way they cannot live in your home or cause a big infestion of the the boogers. So I choice other methods to get rid of them like the garlic and yeast tabs Breyers makes it.Are vet also said frontline does nothing for ticks. We went camping and I was worried about ticks and I called the Vet and she told Us this .I know about the garlic but I have never had a problem and I used the Breyers on are dog every year and He lived to be 16 . So ask Your vet ! Good Luck and never use anything without first talking it over with your vet Tami

| I have always given my cats the Brewers Yeast pills from the pet store (any pet store has them) and they work like a charm! The cats think it's a treat and I haven't had any fleas in my house for years....even when my niece brings her pets over (who, unfortunately, do have fleas most of the time) the fleas are just not interested in my cats. They say that you are supposed to give them the pills - one for every ten pounds of body weight - for about a month to build it up in their system, but it usually doesn't take nearly that long. I've started Winston (13 wk. Yorkie) on a half a pill a day, and he loves them already! |

| Someone on here gave the tip in regard to the Brewers Yeast tablets. I tried and I am a believer! They are cheap and the dogs love them...the only problem I have is my little guys think they are being ripped off when they only get 1 versus the 10 the big guys get.
