| Yorkie's and snow It snowed here in eastern North Carolina (actually it is still snowing) and I would love to take Hannah out to see her first snow! I think that this would be great socialization for her. We hardly ever get snow here. All schools are closed, etc. What suggestions do you all have for me taking her out? |

| Do you have some little booties for her?? If not, make sure you wipe all the snow/salt out from between her foot pads when you get in. I like to get some warm water and get all of that stuff off, if I don't put booties on my two. Jacket or sweater is a plus! Sometimes, for a quick outside potty in the snow...I let mine go out without a jacket...But I normally keep their hair long, so that helps. I bet she will love the snow!!! Mine go cRaZy playing in the snow...Lily will try to get the snow off the porch...Mojo just runs and runs! It is like the cold doesn't even bother them. Bright colored clothing is good against the snow...for some reason....I like to see them in bright colors...as if you can't see them against the white...but sometimes it is like they blend in with the surroundings...or maybe that is just me going senile?? HERE are some snow pictures from last year -- as we haven't had much snow to play in this year. Watch out for those dingle snow balls that get caught in their hair...especially if you have longer hair....Those take awhile to melt...had to put Mojo in a warm bath to get those out last year!

| Ah....I can't wait to hear if she liked the "white" stuff or not. It's so exciting to see their first impression of different things we can expose them to.

| Put a coat or sweater on her for warmth. It would be a nice experience for her to jump and run in the white stuff. Watch to see if she shakes from the cold. Also wash her pads off with a wet warm paper towel when you bring her back inside just incase she has some salt on them. I am quite sick of the snow but Buddy loves it everytime, which has been every other day since early Dec |
