| Announcement:Prince Simba is now a Therapy Dog! HAPPY NEWS! On January 9th, 2009 Simba passed the evaluation test to become a therapy dog for Valley Humane Society. At just under 2 years old, he is the smallest therapy dog in the program. I have been living in a senior community for the last 9 months (I'm the youngest one renting there!), and Simba has worked wonders on everyone here with his expressive eyes and happy personality. Everyone knows Simba, but I don't think they know my name! I truly believe he was meant to fulfill this position to bring smiles and joy especially to those that need cheering up. He seems to respond happily to laughter and the sound of his name by doing one or several of his well rehearsed routines. We will be visiting hospital and senior centers in the area, and represent Valley Humane Society at future streetfair booths. I am so extremely proud of my little Prince Simba! Pictures of Simba in his official vest are posted. |

| Hi..i'm just curious what steps you had to take in order to get Simba certified as a therapy dog. Ever since i got Pasquale I've always wanted him to become a therapy dog. He loves people and he ABSOLUTELY LOVES LOVES LOVES children....which is great cause i'm a pediatric nurse. I would love to know how to go about this...any help would be greatly appreciated. And a big congrats to Simba. You must be so proud of him. Cant wait to see pics of his little vest!

Therapy Dog Donating Member | Simba congratulations we are all so proud of you. Izzy is the smallest Yorkie in our program as well. It's very rewarding to visit and only wish I could go out more with her but my work schedule is nutty these days.

| Wow! Congratulations to the both of you. My Mother lives in assisted living and when I take my babies to see her, so many of the residents just love seeing them. Brings a smile to their faces. |
