| Rats!! Hello i am a little bit worried, we have just moved to the country and i have just spotted 2 large field rats in my garden are they dangerous to yorkies? Max is a large sized yorkie and has killed numerous frogs & moles, but these rats look like they would give him a good run for his money!! |

| A yorkie has been bred to kill rats but what you need to be concerned about is that rats and other wild animals can carry rabies and other dangerous diseases they also can sometimes be given rat poison and an unwary dog might come up on one that is dying and be poisoned themselves

| I was once chased by an angry rat. I'll never forget the experience. I'd make sure your Yorkie, although a ratter, avoids rats.

| I would trap them and relocate them. I know yorkies were bred to kill rats but I would neer let mine. I think they are nasty and disease ridden

| I would be worried sick that they would get rabies. I don't know what you could do to get rid of them.
