| Rufus and I meet the new vet.. Well 12 hours to go before rufus meets new vet. I hope that he is as good as our last vet..I had a really good vet and since we moved I am nervous I really hope he can help me with rufus' skin. The poor little guy is just itching like crazy. I gave him a bath in dry skin shampoo that my inlaws used to use on their Dachsaund Chelsea. He quit for about 2 hours and then started itching again..anyway, He has been a good boy and with a little hope he will do good with the vet tomorrow. |

| Isn't it disappointing when you think you've found something that works and then "wham" you're right back where you started again? Hope he can help you. If not, I'd recommend seeking a specialist at maybe a university there in Missouri. Good luck and keep us posted.

| If you get no help from this vet I would try a homeopathic vet for the itchies. They have some great remedies that are not harmful and work like a charm. |

| goodluck at the vets tomorrow, have you tried calamine lotion for his itching i used it on rosie when her skin was at its worse and she would scratch all the time, i felt so sorry for her that i went out about 2am and got some calamine soaked it into some cotton wool balls and gently dabbed it over her skin, it did help and you can apply it as many times as you like to sooth the skin. hope this is of some help wendy and rosie |
