| I dress my dog in a sweater when on days like to day it is cold. Personally I think the way some people dress should be illegal.

| It would be cruel for me to NOT dress Missy. It's pretty obvious that she needs to wear a sweater when she's shivering like a leaf.

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Geez............surely they mean only to prosecute if something should happen to a dog because of the clothing it wore (by the example they gave of constrictive clothing causing a dog to overheat). But any way you look at it..............Give ME A Break! Go after the REAL bad guys....like the puppymills!

| clothing is in no way harmful to dogs . .what they should be prosecuting are those ignorant pet owners who think it is okay to walk a small dog on a leash - NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL CRUELTY . . : |

Actually clothing can be harmful to dogs, and I am too wary about people who dress their dogs up as fashion accessories. Unfortunately there are some STUPID people out there, dressing their lab up in booties and sweaters because they think it's cute. Besides they aren't talking about small/short hair dogs that need to stay warm in the winter. "So there is a case that they need coats in the winter, especially shorter haired dogs and smaller dogs." I don't see a problem with this, prosecution is a little much but raising awareness of the issue get's a thumbs up from me. | |
