| Getting A Friend? We have a 2 yr old yorkie male. He is always very nervous, shy, and VERY possessive of his mother. He doesn't much like playing with other dogs, even if they try to play with him. We were thinking about getting another yorkie for him to be with and play with (especially if we are at work and have to leave him at home). Has anyone had any experience with this and/or getting another puppy after having a "only child" for so long? We are worried this might harm him more than help? |

BANNED! | I usually find that getting a second one is a great companion for the first one. It does take them time to adjust having another furbaby around but most of the time they become best buddies. Occassionally you may find they don't get along ever no matter what you do, but its more common for them to be buddies imo. When I place my puppies I am always happy when they have a buddy in the home. |

| Sounds appealing. We think Radar might become more sociable if he had a friend around. hopefully that is how most people's experience has been. |

| Suri is my only dog. I plan on getting another once I get settled. (I just graduated college and am not sure where I willbe located yet.) I think they will do fine as long as you introduce them slowly and remember who came first.
